Green plug behind fuel/temp on EG cluster?
I just got a used gauge cluster (EX with tach), and directly behind the temp/fuel gauges there is a green plug. From my dash harness, I don't have a plug that will fit it.
Does anybody know what this plug does or what part of the harness is supposed to attach to it? My temp gauge/fuel level gauge aren't working, but as far as I know those functions come from the large plugs on either end of the gauge cluster.
For the record, and for the search ****'s - I did search.

Its either for the cruise (5 pin? i think green plug) or the automatic transmission gear indicator (larger green plug with several wires, i know thats kinda vauge but i really can't remember how many wires it has) so either EG8R or Pothole987 could be right on this. Both plugs are green though, neither needs to be connected.

I guess that depends if the cluster is for an automatic or not.
The connector for an auto goes into a seperate piece that screws into the back of the cluster and that piece has the lights for the PRND...

Correct, the OP never said if it was an automatic or a 5 speed cluster, so technically its a 50/50 chance its either cruise or PRNDL. Although now that i think of it if its an EX cluster and its an automatic then he would have 2 empty plugs. On the other hand the PRNDL plug is right behind the fuel/temp gauge section of the cluster. *shrugs*

The cluster was sold to me as a 5 speed cluster, and the empty plug behind the fuel/temp is green and has 14 plugs.
The cluster has a white face overly on it (which I definitely did not want, seller shipped me something which I did not bid on. He presented the auction as a bone stock 5 speed cluster).
Seems to me that this is an auto cluster with a 5 speed gauge overlay on the fuel/temp section.
What do you guys think?
EDIT: Pulled the back of the cluster apart - it's an auto cluster with a 5 speed fuel/temp overlay to eliminate the PRND crap.

Re: (Jonathan_ED3)
You can buy the fuel/temp gauge section of the gauge cluster for something like $60 here in canada, thats the actual gauges and all, not just the face. The face unfortunately is not available on its own, or so the dealership told me.
