good price for a ls vtec
i have a 99 ex and i am about to get an engine swap to a ls/vtec. I was told i can get the engine, everything i need and installation for 3500, is this a good price, and also a good choice of engine for my car.... thanx

for that price you can get a strong, reliable b18c with bolt ons. btw, i have a friend that spent 2000 for his ls-v

It's a complete swap? Like already assembled? If so, perhaps they did it wrong and are trying to get rid of the motor...Some people don't do LS/Vtec right and pay for it down the road.

do you know how exactly the motor was built???
ex. what pistons, block, head, cams...
who built it??
what ecu???
new rings??? etc etc...
how do you plan on using this engine??? drag, auto x, or a little of both??
if you do not know much about the LS/VTEC setup, do some research and check out other peoples setups and compare it to that engine....also be sure that its legit!!!
