gas smell

Default gas smell

I have a 93 del sol si with the d16z6 it has 196k on it with a air intack and exaust as spring is coming I am geting a bit of a gess smell when i start it that goes away quickly after I ran a compression test on my engine and had around 200 on all.

well i would start looking for fuel.

will try in the morning i forgot to mention that when it is cold it ideals like 2000 rpm and when it is warm it might ideal 500 rpm and i have cleaned the vaive under the tb

when you cleaned it, did you screw the plunger all of the way back in?

6 turns that same as it was when i took it out i had 2 more turns till tight.

sure. i screw mine all of the way in. it simply prevents your idle from surging all over the place. did you find the gas leak?

on and when i started it this morning there was no gas smell but it was back in the 30's so be it when it hits 50's i am going to go out and look at it to see but i do not no y temp would mack a daffiness but i guess we will see

well if there no change in gas milage, id say youre fine. its not a big enough leak then to pose a problem. and ya your idles fine
