Default Fuel cut off switch question..

hey guys..
i have a em1 and am putting a fuel cut off switch...i went to best buy and they gave me a free toggle switch at the auto place outside...well the one they gave me is a 6a at 125vac or 3a at 250vac...i need to know if it will be good for a toggle switch for the fuel pump or will it blow....i just dont want to do it and it not work....thanks alot h-t

grab the gorund wire and the main relay. Way better and harder to defeat. But make it look stock is the key.

usually auto switches are 20a and over, unless you are using a relay.

Wire it into the control side of the relay. Not the side that actually powers the pump.

heres what im going to do...cut the yellow with black stripe wire to the fuel pump and run the toggle switch..adn anyone just tell me if the 6s toggle switch is suffient

Any toggle switch will do IMHO. Ive never ever heard of a toggle switch messing up a fuel pump for a killswitch install.

well i just dont want the current to be greater then 6a and have the fuse blow in the switch while im driving...bump for some answers

switches hardly mess up amperage or effect resistance. if your worried get a reading put the switch in and take another reading. could almost gurantee you it wont even change as long as its not a fused switch
