Frustrated with coolant hose...
I have a 2000 Civic Si with a Sunk2 Intake Manifold and a Prelude Throttle Body. I replaced the coolant lines for the Prelude throttle body because the stock ones dont line up.
Heres my problem. The coolant hose that runs from the back of the intake into a "U" shape and then back into the block is leaking at the intake manifold. I replaced that hose thinking maybe the hose was just shot but it still leaks.
It almost seems like the reciever on the Skunk2 Manifold for the hose is too small.
I have purchased sealer but I am too dan impatient I guess. I am going to apply some and let the car sit over night but I am not sure this is going to help.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated...

uhh are you joking? The Si stock intake manifold is a hell of a lot more restrictive then the skunk2.
Yeah I tried a screw style clamp but it sucked...

Re: Frustrated with coolant hose... (BrokenLimits)
Well here is what I did for now. I just went outside and put a **** LOAD of Honda bond on the Coolant line inside and where it seals, and then I put a **** LOAD on the recieving fitting.
I am letting them sit for about an hour and then I am going to connect them together and then let that sit over night...
HOPEFULLY that will fix it

bond **** dont hold up too well against long term exposure to fluids..esp. hot fluids. if there is enough pressure exerted by the fluid pressure to leak...you will have problems with leakage again.
