Front Wheel Bearing Install!!!!
Ok,
Last night i started on replacing my driver side front wheel bearing. And let me tell you what a bitch!!!
It took me about 5 fawking hours to do it!!!
I forgot about the damn Snap ring, and was pressing theshit out of the old bearing with the snap ring still on.
Then after i removed the Snap ring, i noticed that the hub still had the outer bearing rcae still stuck on the hub!!!
so then i had to fight the damn hub to get the race off of it!!!!!
after all of that it went smoothly until i shattered the damn plate that i was using on the press.!!! This is a plate of steel that is rated at 20 tons!!, and it exsploded in about 5 peices!! scared the skat right out of me!!!! lol
Well i just thought i would rant, if anybody else goes to try this make sure you are familair with a press, and the jigs!!!

Re: Front Wheel Bearing Install!!!! (TurbodCX)
You had way more trouble than me. Luckily the whole bearing came out of mine. I found out my knuckle was bad causing my bearings to go bad on mine though. Wasted my time and money changing the bearing but finally figured it out and bought a new spindle. It cost the same price and was easier.

After you change a few wheel bearings it is pretty straitforward IMO.
A bearing splitter helps remove that outer race from the hub without hub damage.
PB Blaster on the wheel bearing retainer ring works great to free things up.
Lower ball joints are best removed with a heavy mallet.
Just some pointers........
