Front Sway Bar Won't Fit my EK
I brought my 2000 Hatch Back DX to install front and rear sway bars. I bought eibach sway bars for 2000 Civic SI. The rear fits just fine but the front won't fit. The guy at the shop told me that if I put it on, the bar will hang really low and it will scratch so badly.
He recommended me to buy SI cross member from junkyard and swap it with my existing one. It will cost me about $300 for that alone.
So the questions are...
1. Is he right about the sway bar hanging too low on DX's crossmember?
2. Is there any sway bar made just for the DX?
3. If I really have to swab the crossmember, how much is it to buy SI crossmember?
4. Any suggestion for this situation?
Thank you

Re: Front Sway Bar Won't Fit my EK (Rice Ball)
well i have a 99 DX HB... i installed a front 00 SI sway. i had to get front 00 Si LCA's and forks to make it work.
i don't know, maybe the eibach hangs lower. i'd just install the OEM one, its 26mm.

If you buy Si front LCA's and forks and install them onto your DX, then the newly bought SI front sway bar will fit your DX.

how much would that cost?
and when you mean the sway bar will fit, you mean the eibach that I bought right? not the oem one?

Not 100% on the cost. Should probably cost you no more than $200 per pair new. Im sure you can find them used for alot cheaper. I sold my ITR front LCA's for $100 shipped. As far as the Eibach bar fitting your car, it should very well fit your car as long as you have the SI front LCA's. I know it wont fit on your car now, because DX front LCA's dont have the mounting holes for swaybars.

Thank you for the info.
So when the guy said I needed the crossmember, that's not true? I was kindda disagreed with him too, but hey, who am I to argue with the pro?
Beside the front LCA, would I also need the forks?

Seems like a reasonable deal, and from the pic it looks like its pretty good quality. If thats what you want. Personally i would do it the right way.
