Default Front Brake Clarity 96 HX

In order to get a larger caliper on the HX I need to replace the knuckle with either a 96-00 EX or 99-00 Si knuckle at which point I can put a Integra caliper to get more braking surface.

I does not appear that there is any caliper that will bolt onto a stock HX knuckle giving the ability to run a larger caliper, is this correct? And that the above is the only way to get the larger caliper.

Does the caliper need to be ground down any to fit under an HX rim?

First of all you can either run a spacer, or grind down the caliper if you run the larger front brake set-up with HX wheels.

As far as the knuckle goes the easiest way I know of is by using spindles/knuckles from a donor Integra, Civic EX, or Si. I'm sure there is a combination of spacers, or some adapter mount, etc. to mount a larger caliper to an HX hub. People find ways to mount mix'n'match calipers/knuckels all the time.

is it myth that there is problem with the Integra knuckle causing a positive camber condition?

never seen anyone with positive camber issues with teg knuckles on a civic.
That is anyone with a known straight knuckle.

Most tegs that are robbed for knuckles are in the junk yards, unknown accidents put them there.

Then again I've never seen a civic with teg knuckles at stock height...

This occurs on the EF chassis. That's why 1991 EX knuckles are like gold for EFers.

On 92-up Civics it's a thing of beauty because geometry is not change at all save for maybe needing to do an alignmen due to slight tie rod differences, if any. Camber angle doesn't change at all, unless you got a bent Integra spindle. I personally have done a dozen or so 94-01 Integra spindle swaps onto 92-up Civics. I can't say for DA knuckles.

Yup that is why I have 2 sets of them, just in case.

Great much appreciated.

Well this will be at stock height, hence the reason for the question.

LOL, I knew someone who did DA knuckles on his 92-95 Civic. He didn't know about the suspension geometry. He had mad camber issues.

it's a myth if anything it will go more negative, just recently swapped knucles on a car and realigned the car. Camber if anything went .2 degrees more negative and toe went out alot as far as I recall.

Nope, the only difference is the UCA between the two.
