So what about a f20b motor in my 94 civic si, those go for around a grand and put down 200hp, along with 145lbs, and what would be a good trans to match it with?
Or super cheap F18B 138 HP @ 5400 RPM 124 LBS-FT @ 4400 RPM, and same question trans to match it with?? thanks I should be picking a engine by the end of the week and will do post on how everything goes.

Go for the H2B conversion or in your case F2B. What you do is use the f series motor and a b series tranny (imo a gsr tranny). Here's a good link...

Well i guess I should ask the best place to get a motor, I found a bunch of good sounding places , but have heard a bunch of bad stories about buying jdm motors, one place offers a 6 month warranty... but if anyone knows some good, but cheap places please send me links.
Thanks

I personly prefer steve @ hmotorsonline.com... close to same price or way below competitors, but much better products coming from him.

Hmotors is alright, my buddy got a B20Z from them with rod knock, and they refused to replace it so they sent him a B20B instead.
I bought my swap from PasswordJDM, very friendly sales staff, and the only problem I had was that the engine arrived before the ECU.
