F series, B series, H series "HELP"
Fellow honda-tech friends,
I bought a 1991 honda accord that has a f22a1 motor in it. 100% stock.
Correct me if i am wrong but do they not make a custom tranny adapter to inter change between series like F serie tranny and B serie motors. I know i probably sound crazy for asking about all of this but what i want to do is.
#1---I was thinking that i would keep everything original in the car except motor and clutch, so can i take the motor out and put like and LS or SI motor in the f22's place with just change the motor mounts and custom tranny adapter. Do you think this is possible?????? If so where can I find this adapter at. This would help me out a bunch.
Dont flame on me to bad just thought i would ramble about something that i was sitting around thinking about. Let me know thanks once again

i think an h2b adaptor plate would make the tranny and engine fit together, but you'd have to make a custom driver side mount.

That would be a less than ideal setup. less torque with the B motor then and you will keep the long gears? F's and H's are nearly identical so I would recommed using and H motor with the existing tranny or put a complete H swap in the accord.

It's http://www.QuarterSportsDrag.com but that's for the H motor + B tranny & drivetrain.

Nobody, that I know of, makes an adapter for a B series motor and an F series tranny.
They make them the other way around though.
What your talking about doing is a horrible idea.
An LS motor or an SI motor would be quite a bit slower than your stock F series.
If you want an easy swap, drop an h23 or h22 in. You can reuse your F series tranny, clutch flywheel, axles, and shiftlinkage. You only need the engine and ecu for the swap.
*edit- woops didnt read all the way down the thread. I basically just repeated what Skunked said
