i had a pretty bad fluctuating idle on my 92 VX and this is how i solved it:


-turn off all electrical things (lights etc), let the rpms settle down.
-after noting where the rpms are sitting turn on your headlights, if the rpms fluctuate big, theres your problem.

little did i know, but my fluctuating idle only happened when i have the bass up high or the wipers on, it turned out to be my alternater, got a new one, and no longer have an erratic idle! the draw from the wipers or my amp, pushed the bad alternater to try to pump out more, putting a strain of the motor, which the ECU tried to stop fr4om dying by giving it gas

Yeah i had the same problem on my 00 si but my problem came out to be the idle sensor in back of the manifold n he thing that sucks is that that sensor came out to be $100 crap but good job

i've always had a low idle. i bought the car and it idled at 450-500. then i had honda adjust it and it went to 200. then i adjusted it and it went to 0. i finally had honda adjust it AGAIN and it went to 350ish. i'm just not gonna fu#$ with it anymore since its a D15 Lx piece of poo motor.

just adjust your own idle to 800

my iacv died just the other day, swapped in my ls iacv and problem solved
There are lots of things that can cause a bad idle
