"fixing" vtec wiring
a PO did the d16z6 swap on my LX but didnt swap ECUs or harnesses. I got the p28 soon after gettng the car and ran the vtec wires myself... but it was kinna a hack job (really just wanted to make sure it worked) I used the female end of blade connectors, smashed a bit to fir the smaller pins. And it worked fine for the past month or two.... Well this week i got a code 22 CEL, but vtec still works, so im thinking the wire is vibrating and breakign connection every once in a while.
So now im wanting to do it right. But i dont want to spend the time or money and a whole new engine harness. I remember seeing somewhere, someone selling just the 2 vtec plugs with like 5' of wire but i cant seem to find it anymore... I dont even really need the wire, id just liek the correct plugs, then run my own wire from that. And before someone says it, junkyards arnt an option, none of them here have any civics >.<
