VTEC wiring.......
Ok I am wondering @ the ECU in a 92 Civic when I am wiring VTEC do I cut the wire completey and run the VTEC wire off it OR do I just tap into the wire itself...I know soooooo many people are going to tell me that the VTEC wire is already there and all but I just want to know about the VTEC wiring thing so I can get rid of this nasty CEL I have...And VTEC will work of corse.. ..Currently I have it just tapped in and the "VTEC light" I wired up is not turing on so I am thinking something is messed up with the wiring..

Re: VTEC wiring....... (!)
The Helms manual has a thoroughly detailed wiring diagram of the system. It's absolutely necessary if you are trying to diagnose a problem. Kamin is right, all the necessary wires are there. The only thing you would need to add is a wire for the IAB system (assuming you have a GSR engine)
If what you are asking though is how to move wires around at the ECU plugs you can cut and re-solder them but I prefer to move the pins themselves. The wires should run from the ECU directly to where they need to go. VTEC solenoid, pin A4. VTEC pressure switch, pin D6
