Default Fix It Ticket >.<

So last night im driving down Tweety in South Gate, and just cop just gets right on my ***! FUhhhhhhhCK! but i got a clean record so yeah. he pulls me over for my exhaust. After 4 years of having this car with an exhaust he pulls me over.

Well anyway he gave me a ticket for that. I also have 2.25'' piping and ebay headers, lucky he didnt see that. Im wondering do i just have to swap out that exhaust for a stock one? or are they gonna check my WHOLE exhaust system? I have an 07' Si exhaust im thinking about putting.

Any advice. and yes im in Cali.

LUCKY!! And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the price of a fix-it ticket go from $10 to $50? And I Think you have to get it back to stock....either that or maybe put a silencer on it and take it to the chp station and have them test the DB limit. cuz they legally can't do **** if it's under 95 DB I believe.

get a stock axel back and find a ref station and have them test it, then they'll give you a sticker, take it into court and get it dropped.

might put stock header back on just incase they decide to pop your hood (chances are they will.

What ticket did you get? If its the noise restriction then get it tested through BAR and if you pass fight the ticket. If its fix it ticket take it to CHP and pay the fines. I believe you could take the DB test as well and fight that. What exhaust do you have? The 07?

this happen to me i have 95 civic headers and 2.5 pipping no cat and pipping and i got pulled over in downtown los angeles what i suggest u do is get a stock silencer box its about 50 dollars as stock looking as possible if it s fix it u just gotta go to the chp and they are u going to make u rev on it to make sure its not to loud u clear it with them for 10 dollars and then 15 dollars to clear it with the court but it should be no problems if its not loud cuz my civic is all modded and fixed out from the outside i had no problems and for future suggestions dont put big tip exhaust systems on ur car if u got one i gotten three fix it tickets for that in LA so i just got a magnaflow its looks stock but sounds clean cops arent on my !@# because it dosent bring attention and u cant notice it like those big ones!!! it stoo hard to have a modded car in los angeles!

I've never been bothered about my mods from cops in texas. My brown skin, though, that's a whole nother story. Completely opposite from Hawaii, where cops look for any and every reason to pull you over and give you a ticket.

Well the ticket was just for a modded exhaust cause i wasnt even going past 30mph. so he couldnt really hear my exhaust. and well i have a Matrix exhaust. And i have an 07' Si axle back that i was planning on slapping on. What do you guys think.

And i am planning on putting a stock exhaust manifold back on. just gotta find one.

i got a ticket in my EF two months ago at Hot Import Nights. Put the stock exhaust on and went to CHP. There was a cone on the exhaust tip that the prev owner put on and the cop wouldnt sign it off because it "didnt sound right" and he claimed his stock '07 was quiet-er than that. Took the cone off, took it to the local police station and got it signed off with a long lecture about "how bad a modified exhaust is for the environment" OI VEY! goodluck.

Just an idea, aftermarket mufflers are shiny chrome so I sprayed mine with some black engine enamel to make it blend in with the rest of my black car. So far it's holding up great, going on one month.

you have to take your car to a ref station to get it db tested. I got one and I actually I double resonated $y exhaust. Took it to ref and I passed with a 94.5 reading and passing is +/- 1.5 at 95.0. I passed with an sp2 greddy and my sticker says it pass and exhaust system greddy. And on the comment section it says passed without silencer. So I made a copy and when I get pull over for my exhaust I show them the paper and they say have a good day.
