So, I went to get my car inspected and it failed emission. The high idle passed with a 156 and the standard being 220, but my low idle failed majorly with a 446 and the standard being 220. My sri couldn`t have an affect on my emissions, could it? Also, if it`s not the cause, than what could I to fix the problem. I do have 30 days though, so no real rush lol.

are u running a catalytic converter? stock? it could be starting to burn through. im pretty sure. u could try retarding ignition timing alil,and make sure ur using 87 only . it burns faster and more complete

I`m running a cat and I know that was changed a few years ago when my dad had to get teh exhaust fixed...and the engine is stock except for my sri. Also, if it was burning through, wouldn`t I smell something when I`m out side my car when it`s running?
