Default Exhaust???

I want to buy and exhaust for my car 1996 Civic Coupe the cat back exhaust. Well my question is later on I will be putting a GSR engine, will that exhasut fit once I have the engine or will I need to modify it or will it just bolt on to the GSR header or will it be scrap? I need some help? Any recommendations for exhausts that have a nice sound not loud would be helpful.

Whatever engine you have, you need the exhaust designed to follow your stock chassis routing.

Browse youtube for exhaust clips.

I like stock.

that did not help me with anything. you just confused me even more. I said if I buy an exhaust for my engine for my stock car d16 and later on I get the b18 will the exhasut still fit and work with that engine?

Yes, any muffler shop can match up your new engines header to your existing exhaust.

What matters is where the piping is routed.

gsr routing it differen't than 2000 DX hatch routing, and has differen't lengths and bends.

I am also in the same position. I have a N1 catback and i am also wondering if it will be long enough for the GSR swap.

If it's not the exhaust shop can/will just weld on whatever is needed.

Spell Checker 2000:

GSR exhaust pipe routing is different from 2000 DX hatch exhaust pipe routing, because it has different lengths and bends.
