Just did B18c1 swap for 95 civic. But what exhaust?
I just did a swap for my 95 civic hatch and my question is what kind of exhaust do i use to have a bolt on experience? I try not to bring the car to a muffler shop to get it welded in if I can buy a bolt on exhaust system.

eg hatch exhaust with a gsr header? you may need to get it moved around a little bit a muffler shop but it should be damn close.

run a GSR exhaust. That's what I did. Bone stock GSR except for a DC header, with stock GSR exhaust on an EG

GSR exhaust pipings doesnt bolt up and doesnt line up with the exhaust manifold with the undercarriage of the hatch

you might be able to make it work with stock exhaust and a gsr cat. Otherwise, apexi WS2 FTW.

stock civic exhaust. The only thing that I know is a problem with doing that is that on some Civics (like mine), the bolt holes on the Civic cat don't line up with the bolt holes on the gsr header. Also, the gsr header is slightly longer than the header on some civics, so your entire exhaust may be a bit shorter.
I think a gsr cat would fix that problem. Or, what most people do is have the front flange cut off the Civic cat and get it welded back on in the correct orientation, and with a little bit of pipe added in.

Re: Just did B18c1 swap for 95 civic. But what exhaust?
the reason why i asked is because I had a 95 Civic CX and I swapped a JDM B16a in it and the exhaust mani on the b16 and the stock civic exhaust did not line up at all. I had to redo the whole exhaust system. so im just curious if it will fit in a dx since its different model

Re: Just did B18c1 swap for 95 civic. But what exhaust?
I have a 95 EJ1 with a B18C1 swap. For now, my setup uses an LS header and heat shield, LS cat, and all stock exhaust piping from the EX after the cat.
GSR header and cat does not work at all. Nothing lines up.
I did have to get a 2" piece welded in after the cat to make it fit correctly, but other that that it works fine.

Re: Just did B18c1 swap for 95 civic. But what exhaust?
So LS Header and CAT bolts right up with no mods or welding and GSR doesnt?
Im on a budget now so im trying not to spend so much on this swap as much as possible. But in the long run im planning no using Apexi WS exhaust. Anyone have any experience with APEXI WS in a 95 Civic? I dont want a really loud exhaust that I will go deaf.

welding = more hassle and more money when im planning to use APEXI WS exhaust in a few months from now. so i rather stick to what i got for now or I can wait a few months just to get the APEXI WS

You can use all your stock setup. No point in not doing this if you're going to change it in a couple months. This is your cheapest and easiest option, unless you know someone with a free exhaust.

buddy what you want is a jdm 1 peice itr header,cat,b-pipe and an +06 rsx-s muffler. youll need an exhaust shop to do some work however the outcome is great.
its super quite and better for bottom end with stock back pressure yet provides some extra hp and a great tone when full throttle!
