excessive engine movement, help needed
have ek4 and had es inserts fitted several months ago, 2 left and right torque mounts were little worn but not enought to justify new. rear 1 was done couple months back and mount was in very good shape.
over the last month when shifting at high revs car seems to jerk back and forth for about a second or 2 so i suspected motor mounts. bought 2 new torque mounts but upon takin the old the of found they didnt really need changing but did anyway. all other mounts are fine. also had a clutch/flywheel fitted few months back
could the clutch need adjusting (if thats possible) or anyone any idea what else the problem could be ?

did you do the front lower two? do the front lower two and the rear one and see if that makes a difference.. if there's motor movement they need changing.. just because they look okay doesn't mean they're working properly... and even if they're working properly doesn't mean they'll keep the motor from rocking... i don't know about the ES inserts.. i would either fill them with windo-weld or just buy rock solid mounts... that's how i'd go about it
