Error code 43-Fuel System Supply, any suggestions?
Hi all, hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to throw something out there and see if anyone knows what exactly may be wrong with my car.
Its a 95 Civic DX, manual tranny, motor has approx 200k on it. The other day the motor seemingly lost power for a brief second and the check engine light came on. When I checked the code, it came up as 43-Fuel System Supply. Since then, the motor has not done anything bad, the car is driving fine, but the light does come back on if I drive the car for more than 30 minutes or so. I checked the code again today and it was the same, 43-Fuel System Supply.
Anyone have any ideas as to where to start checking/replacing? I was leaning towards the pump, filter, lines...maybe injectors. Anybody with any similar experience help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This seems to be a common problem this week. From what i've been reading its generally caused by a bad O2 sensor that isn't bad enough yet to throw an O2 sensor code. Honda fuel pumps are usually pretty reliable, and fuel filters don't really seem to clog, i think every 5th gen civic i've ever seen still had the original filter. same goes for everything else. Oxygen sensor i have seen go bad fairly often.

What type of 02 did you guys use. I had 43 CEL, and put in a Bosh 02, and I am still getting that CEL. Changed Fuel Filter, Fuel Distributor, Rotor, Sparks.
Only thing left is...
Clean out IACV
Injectors
Wires....
Even ran my system on 93 with fuel system cleaner.....still got the CEL. I talked to the mechanic and he said that if you do not use Honda OEM O2 then you might still have that problem.

Most people into hondas seem to find that bosch O2 sensors are crap. I've had one in mine for a few years and the light hasn't come on, but it will be coming out for a denso soon, mostly i think its starting to go bad, car seems a little underpowered at times, and it happened after i swapped the exhaust manifold and used a different bosch O2 sensor i had after ruining the first one trying to get it out.

Yeah,
Strange how everyone seems to get the 43 code.
Well I will replace the Injectors, and if that does not work, then change the Bosch O2.
