That depends, what are you looking to do? Speed, torgue, boast, N/A, this is such a general question if anyone is going to answer they need a lot more info, I sagest looking at the link I sent you and weigh them against what you plane on doing with the car, and then if you have more of an idea we can help you more,Idealy you want to narrow it down on your own but if you get stuck between say 2 engines then we can help you a lot more easily then what your asking now

What you shoul be smart enough to learn from this thread is that you need to do the research about 1) what your goals for the car are 2) what engine would you like to use to accomplish those goals 3) after you have done 1 and 2 worry about getting the engine and putting/getting it put in.
There is no magic car and engine combination that will be the "best". Alot of it is personal preference and objectives for the car.

Re: Which is engines are better 2 swap 4 a 93 civic (Slow EJ8)
for petes sake bro search before u make yourself look dumb. anyway a motor swap will never go over 10,000 dollars unless maybe your doin the K swap into hatch and even then 10 Gs is high. a b16 is easy to come by and b18c isnt to tough to come by either. it should be like 2000 roughly to do the swap....
to do the auto to manual swap u need...
1. motor and manual tranny
2. flywheel
3. clutch kit(clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool)
4. bolts for flywheel and pressure plate (8 flywheel and 6 presure plate)
5. Shift linkage (obviously Bseries shift linkage they all interchangeable)
6. need rear bracket for rear mount
7. engine mounts
8. ecu for manual trans (you probably wanna stay obd1 so get an obd1 ecu)
9. need different starter (manual trans starter)
10. make sure u have the a/c mount and the other trans mount
11. axels
12. engine hoist
