Default Need help, no spark from my b18C1 engine swap

recently put my b18c1 back into my 94 hatch after the rebuild.

Everything was fine, it started up for turn over, and ran cool. We adjusted the idle, and let it run for a few mins before test driving it.

After all that was done, we test drove it, and it felt perfect, responded well to the gas etc.

After one time of stabbing it, the car died down, it was a calm turn off, it didnt sputter or nothing, the rpm just dropped, and the engine turned off.

Turns out im not getting spark, so i used my BRAND NEW dizzy, got new spark plugs and spark plug wires, but no go!! WTFFFF!!!!

We are speculating it may be the rotor, but i dont know. When i click it over, the fuel pump doesnt sound like its primering, and the spark plugs dont have a gas smell.

But the main thing is IM GETTING NO SPARK, but its turning over beautifully..

Can anyone help me out here? Im so angry.

UPDATE...I Switched my rotor with a brand new one...
NO ******* SPARK STILL...Im on my last nerve with this motor.

EVERYTHING has been replaced but my main relay..We took it out and ohms tested it, only one side has resistance..But i belive it's sopposed to be like that in the first place.

ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks

maybe its the main relay, it does control the distributor and fuel pump, maybe check there

Used my ecu in my friends car, and it started right up. Replaced my whole distributor BRAND NEW, so hopefully it isnt the coil or ignitor.

My friends KNOWN working ecu didnt work in my car.

Time to start checking the wiring for opens & shorts. That can get pretty tedious, but it sounds like you ruled out other stuff.

Check for spark. Check for fuel (smell at tailpipe or look at sparkplugs).

Make sure your ignition switch is giving (+) battery voltage to the black/yellow wire at the distributor. Make sure the main relay is giving (+) battery voltage to the yellow/black wires at the ECU & injectors. Make sure your main relay is powering up your fuel pump.

Thats the thing...it isn't, and i've tried my friends main relay, and still no spark, nor does the fuel pump prime.

Fuel pump, ECU, & injector power come from the main relay. But power for the distributor comes from the ignition switch. What they all have it common is the ignition switch itself. Check for broken wires there, or maybe the switch is going bad.

How about the idiot lights in the cluster? Pause the key at 'on' & see if your CEL, battery, etc. lights come on. If they work, the ignition switch itself seems OK. Then that leaves the wiring over to the main relay & on to the distributor. You'll want a wiring drawing for the car, to know where to look for stuff.
