Engine swap on my '93 Civic`
So for starters Im pretty new to the world of imports but I catch on quick.
Here's my interest......
I currently got a 1993 Honda Civic with a D16z6 engine with header, intake, lowered, JDM exhaust. Its alright but I want something faster and street legal in Cali. cuz I use to own muscle cars but I felt like trying something new.
So I'm wondering if anyone out there can point me in the right direction as to what types of motors can be swapped into the 1993 Civic chassis? Any recommendations would be helpful and appreciated.
Thanks

All depends on how much money and time your willing to dish out. I got lucky with my B18c1 and tranny for $2500* Great motor, powerful.

Word of advice. Talk of racing and "smoking" other cars will get your thread locked/deleted pretty quick. Instead you're better off setting horsepower goals.
I don't know about the K series (expensive) but the J series might get you where you want but is a lesser done, expensive and more difficult swap. If you want more power at a relatively lower cost then boost the Z6. Don't count on crazy power without rebuilding the engine first. If you wanted musclecar power then you made the wrong choice with a Civic.
