Re: Engine Swap.... (theERAisBack)
assuming the motor you have now is the stock single cam and you want to kepp your turbo set up....go with a d16z6, you won't need to change anything to kepp your turbo kit.
if you went b-series you would need to tap the b-series oil pan get a new manifold etc. etc.....especially if you got a gsr motor your intercooler piping would need to be redone due to the different location of the throttle body.

Where can i get a D16z6 for a decent price? And isnt the B18b almost identicle to the D16, like the intake manifoild and what not? but i could be wrong. I kind of what a motor that puts out a little more but i dont want to have to do to much fabrication or custom work.

1. Yes, it is a direct fit (not sure about wiring the vtec in...?).
2. There is nothing wrong with the engine.
3. I have not had any problems whatsoever with the engine
4. I do have pictures, what is your email?
5. Yes, your turbo set up should bolt up the same way.
6. I am selling just the longblock engine, your tranny and intake manifold should work, but I'm not sure about the PS/Alt/AC...

You're wrong.
Every part short of the throttle body and a few other pieces is different between the B18B1 and the D16Z6.
They're not identical at all.
D16Z6 for decent price? Junkyard for 2-300 bucks.
If you go with a B18B1 (LS) You're gonna need to swap over to all B components (change the mounts, change the linkage, change the transmission, then the turbo won't bolt up, so you'll need to buy a B series turbo manifold.
It'll cost a decent penny, get a D16Z6.

Good luck with that in the upper-midwest. There is a very limited supply of good honda parts, and they are very expensive.
