Sounds like you have something wrong with ur tps. Ive had similar problems. Does it go rite back to normal after you let off the gas, but does it agin when you punch it?

Re: engine stumbles on acceleration (faxshatch)
i just had this problem, spent an *** load of money when it was something simple as hell right in front of my face. mine was the dizzy cap and rotor button. check those, if they are good check your spark, make sure it's all good. if not that, i'd say tps.

Re: engine stumbles on acceleration (austinkli)
yea come to think of it i had the same problem cause of that but it wasnt as severe. But i replaced my rotor and cap too. that was causing my car to misfire in cylinder 2. But my tps was hook on backwards and it did it horribly bad. Ive just got three prongs stickin out and it was slid on there backwards

if not the dizzy, then i would be inclined to agree with you guys. tps would be a good place to look. make certian you are getting the proper spark and fuel mixture too. that can cause it to bog down pretty bad if your not getting the right mixture. perhaps a clogged fuel filter, spark plug wires, spark plugs, fuel injectors. i'd just do a basic tune up, and do check the tps.
