LS Engine rough idle/misfire etc.
Hey everyone, been a while.
The car has been running great since I replaced the timing belt back in the fall.
I'm having an unusual problem that has just started happening the past few days. I'm thinking fuel problem, or ignition issues.
The engine cranks, sounds good, no problem. It seems once the engine is warmed up, that I can hear either misfiring, or unusual rough engine at no load speed.
If I'm cruising down the road, and I let off the gas, it will backfire a little, but sometimes it starts loosing power and misfiring as if I'm out of gas. If I slow down a little and then give it gas, then it will take off. But it will start the process all over again.
Then if I come to a stop, the engine will almost stall out.
Soooo,
I was thinking replace the fuel filter, cap, rotor, wires and plugs first. Next I would replace the injectors, TPS.
Does it sound like I'm headed in the right direction? Any other ideas?
Thanks!
