I know what you are thinking. Well...not quite that simple. I have recently taken my core support off (not as bad as everyone makes it) and I was wondering if it is safe/possible to take the motor out while the core support is off of the car. It looks like it would be hella easy just to wheel it out the front and I need to remove it anyway.

This is where the questions come in.

1.) I may not be the brightest in the world, but with the core support off, would removing the motor allow the frame to bend b/c there is not enough support?

2.) If it will allow the frame to flex b/c of the pressure on the shock towers from the wheels being on the ground, would putting the car on jackstands help?

3.) Am I a complete retard for thinking anything about this? Flame away if you feel the need.

That'll work just fine, it's simply that a lot of pple don't usually remove it for an engine swap unless they're doing fab work or an IC or something of the sort (or just trying to make it really easy). Just make sure the car's got adequate support throughout the rails and you should be fine.

I had to replace the core support anyway. Trucks backing up with drop hitches in parking lots are well...not a good thing. Can you explain "adequate support" on the rails? Thanks for the help so far.
