Ok well i did my timing and forgot to jump ecu service plug after i went to smog it they tried to check my timing it said it was tooo far retarded but was running fine. Today i go to fix it i check my timing with the service plug jumped and the marks show that my timing is at least 20-30 degress BTDC which i dont think is possible.
I move my distributor back to retard it and it only goes to like 24 degress still too advanced.
I leave my dizzy midway and now my car is boggin as if the timing's retarded.
so idk whats the problem what could it be?



*also think it might be pinging im not quite sure what pinging sounds like i hear valve lash but its only at certain RPMS*

Check your mechanical timing. The timing belt may have skipped a tooth.

are you looking at the right mark , it will sound like a bb in a coke can if you where to shake it around
