Engine Conversion Question - GSR into an EG
hi all,
Just signed up to this forum... some very interesting information about engine conversion
Just got a couple of question i need clarifying..
Basically im putting in a GSR motor in an EG GL (dual carby).... the GSR is running an obd2 ecu, but i onli have an odb1 wiring harness... obviously they wont directly connect together..
i know i could be buy the obd1 convertor to the obd2? or should i jsut get the obd2 wiring harness? Will the obd2 wiring harness work in the EG??
wat do u guys recommend
any hlep would be greatly appreciated

The obd2 GSR engine harness will plug directly into your civics obd1 main harness.
The obd2 GSR ecu will not, however. Just get a obd1 gsr ecu and you are set.

i ran into the same problem. i got a P28 ECU OBD1 that was chipped for a GSR. stay OBD1. P28 or P72 on the ECU.

You might have to have one shipped from overseas.
Alot of people here in the states convert to obd1. It wont affect the performance. It just simplifies everyting.
