EK hatch exhaust with GSR swap compatibility (apexi world sport)
ok im swapping a 94 JDM GSR into my 2000 dx hatch and was wondering if the collector flange will bolt up to my WS flange.
also i bought this exhaust because of how quiet it is, yet flows pretty good. how much louder will it be until i purchase a cat for the swap

No personal experience, but bump for a guy who searches his *** off and then always runs it by me before he even makes a thread.

are you running a cat? if so...the stock DX Apexi WS will not bolt up...I had to get a 3-4 in. section welded in, to go from the system to the cat. If you are not running a cat i still believe it will be off by a few inches.
* Its always good that someone vouches for you and says that you search your *** off before posting. Good work!

for now, im not running a cat. since you are familiar with the WS exhaust, i have the test pipe (dont know what else to call it) that it comes with. i wanting to know will the collector flange blot up to the test pipe flange.

Are you talking about the resinator section of the 3 piece cat back system? Cause theres the rear section which has the muffler, then the mid section and the third piece to the cat back is the resinator pipe that connects the 2nd pipe to the Cat.

i think its diff but i put h22 in my ek 4 and i had to cut the pipe shorter and make a plate for the apexi exhaust to bolt up to the down pipe. u might have to do that but if u don't sorry, thats just my expeirince with the exhausts and the motor swaps. good luck

if you run a cat it wont fit. think about this too, in the future are you gonna get 2.5 inch headers? then if yes i would wait for the headers so you dont pay double labor.

Re: (1Quikgsr)
please please please please stop replying if you can not answer the question. i didn't start this thread to hear your exhaust stories.
the D16Y7 has a cat in header design. so there is no cat in the traditional location as other cars. Apexi makes a world sport exhaust, and it comes in 3 pieces. and it includes a pipe that fills the location of where the traditional location of the cat goes. this pipe extends all the way up to the firewall. since i am swapping the B18C, and keeping my apexi exhaust
all i want to know is if you have first hand knowledge of your self or someone you know personally that has done this swap, has not added a cat and has bolted up the stock GSR collector, to the apexi Y7 cat back exhaust flange.

how many headers can you fit on an inline engine?
i am unaware of any manufacturer that makes a header for a GSR, JDM or USDM that has a 2.5" collector.
