ek coupe rear lip install
how do you install your rear abs lip on your coupe? Did you have to make your own hole? Or did you use one of the grooves on your OEM bumper? I'm having trouble fitting mine and having it look right.

drilled my own wholes....i used self tapping screws to put it in. They worked like a charm and the rear lip looks great. I would try that first and just eye ball it how it has to be becuase there are no set wholes you want to make it even.

on an oem lip, it comes with clips which go into the grooves on the bottom of the bumper. Then you secure it with screws/bolts/or those black plastic fasteners.
on an aftermarket lip, i think you have to drill your own holes.

How did the install turn out? i got a rear lip for my coupe also, been having trouble installing it.
it seems like if i only used the 4 self taping screws the wheel well, it will sag. And There is a gap between my factory bumper and the new lip.
Got any hints on installing this lip....
Not sure what year coupe you got, i got a 96-98...
just looking for some hints here too...
thanks

lol...well its kinda hard to install. One side of my corner hung a little. Not noticeable but if you are up next to it you can totally tell. Anyway I drilled holes by the wheel well, and the lip. Screw it on one side and support the other with a cardboard box, so the lip wont crack/break by the screw. Use 3m tape to hold the middle of the lip to the bumper and drill holes on the other side. Make sure its all even or its gonna look FUGLY! The trickey part is getting it to fit the corners. ERRR pain in the buttox! Keep trying eventually it'll even up, but a bit tight. Remeber to use the self taping screws. As everyone said gotta screw it in ur bumper! Unfortunatly mines got kicked off and stolen by some cheap thieves!! butt-holes!!
