If you want an extremely rough estimate of your HP. take how much you plan to boost by. figure what percent of boost that is per 14.7. take that percantage, multiply it by your stock horsepower. then add your stock horsepower and there ay go. you have an EXTREMELY ROUGH estimate of HP gain.

10 psi on a t3 and a good tune will give you circa 200whp.

10lbs on a worn motor might make your bottom end go "no way jose". In other words, it will blow up, lol.

anything over 8 psi will more than likely make your engine go boom boom. You need to have it rebuilt and add a couple of goodies to the motor to withstand a constant 10 psi and that will increase your hp as well. and once you go boost you'll always want to turn it up just a lil more. but if you're going to run 10 psi on a vtec engine, i've seen them between 200-250 depending on the parts/tune of the car

Once agai al the newbies throw PSI numbers without referring to Turbo trim size.

10 psi depending on the turbo could get you 150whp or 230whp. And anywhere in between.

stock D blocks are known to withstand 250whp. psi doesn't matter so much, its horsepower that kills motors. 8 psi is below the norm for what people push daily for psi on stock D blocks, and thats even on a greddy or edelbrock kit.

have you personally seen or inspected his block? i'm not saying the d series block can't hold 10 psi.

Sorry... Is 10 psi above Atmospheric pressure?

No, 14.7 is the psi of atmospheric pressure at sea level. hence the formula. 10 psi is roughly 68 percent of 14.7 psi. So theoretically at least, you could estimate a 68 percent gain in hp. theoretically. i dont know if you mentioned what engine youre running im not real familiar with sohc engines but fur purpose of an example you have 110 hp to the crank stock. take 68 percent of 110 which is 74.8. add that to your 110 and hypothetically you could see somewhere around 185 hp to the crank. now there are a ton of other factors that can go into this. so this is really and extremely rough estimate based on the compression of air through forced induction.

Thank's, it's clear for me now, but i think that final power will be less, due to heating of air after charger. And so, it's my point of view, the cooler is required, especialy for engines which not designated for charger (with high compression ratio)...
