Default EH chassis swap gurus look here PLEASE

I thinking of puttin a 98 JDM B20 into my 92 EH2 VX. Ive been doin some searching and alot of reading, which I know someone is going to say in the next 3-4 posts. One of the things Ive read is not to use the B20 IM because it sits up higher then the LS IM but if I have my hood jacked up (which i do) I wont have to worry about any clearence issues with the B20 IM right??? I can use my stock VX harness but getting a OBD2 LS harness would & will be a plug and play to the EH2 chassis harness and getting my ecu (p07) chipped would work just fine or should I just get a different ecu??? IF so which one??? My D series tranny mount will work on any B series tranny correct??? I will still need to get B series motor, rear mount & bracket, no need to order aftermarket mounts correct??? Which B series tranny would be best to use, im not looking to race this car once I get the swap in, I just want the added HP & TQ so when I go on vac. I can tow my bike (GSX-R 600) along instide of riding it to where ever I go. I use the highway alot driving to & from work so im not looking for alot of rpms while im driving. So I guess im trying to say Im thinking about gas milage!!! If theres anything I left out please feel to let me know.

easiest way to install that engine in your car would be to get a 94-95 integra ls Intake manifold ( b20 sits really really high)and ecu from a 94-95 integra wiring, alternator and distributor from the b20 can still be used plug and play ls motor mounts from 94-01 integra ls will work fine as for transmission options because your not racing it and do alot of highway driving i would also use ls transmission because of the longer gears you will get better gas mileage over a b16 tranny or gsr the actual rear mount is still used but the bracket will need to be replaced with integra 94-01 dont matter if gsr or ls.

1) just get a used intake manifold from a junk yard or come look at the ITB's I'm building for my LS right now!

2) dont use the vx harness. You can but you'll ahve to rewire the O2 sensor because the b18 uses a 4-wire plug and the vx uses a 7 wire O2 sensor. There are a couple ways to wire it in. Again just go to a junk yard and buy a 92-95 civic dx harness Like Im going to. I paid $20 for my brothers at the junk yard.

3)I dont think you can chip that ecu. I could be wrong though. If it was me I would either get a OBD1 p75 (ls) ecu or (again) go to the junk yard and get a OBD1 civic Dx ecu and have it chipped with you program of choice or have it custom tuned with crome, uberdata, ect....

4)mounts-
civic tranny mount
civic rear with integra 94-00 "L" BRACKET
driverside mount- depending on what motor mount (mount that actually mounts to the engine block not chassis)if using a b16 mount on the block you can use the stock civic chassis mount. if your using the b18 mount, use the chassis mount for a 94-00 integra LS,GSR,type r. You ccan get that mount from autozone for $50

5) Tranny-
best performance for an NA application would be obvoiusly a type r tranny
Best gas mileage tranny would be an LS tranny
Semi best of both worlds would be a GSR tranny in My oppinion

Thats all I can think of now. If you have any more Q's you know how to get in touch with me.

Also remember to use the wiring from your firewall map sensor to the throttle body map sensor on the engine. If you use the engine harness wiring it will not get to the ecu on a 92.
Also it is a bonus on 92s that on the chassis side it is prewired for vtec if you ever chose to b20 vtec (may clear up clearance issues).

Thats funny you say that. Im actually contiplating doing another H2B (non-vtec version H23 block matted to an LS tranny w/Mfactory 4.92 FD). Oh you were giving me a hard time about finding parts so cheap. I picked up an OBD1 Ls motor and hydro LS tranny for $200. dont you hate me.

for real. I know where you can get an h22 swap minus the head fro probibly cheap. you could pick up a head for like $300-400 and I can get you some mounts for $150. There is your towing power right there.

get a 96-99 Ls integra engine harness so you can use the obd2 dizzy, injectors, alternator. If you use a 92-95 they won't plug up
