Eg swap?
I feel really stupid asking this but anways i was wondering what a good d-series swap for my 95 civic dx sedan would be. i would like to know what kind of car i could get it out of and also i was wondering if my stock tranny will line up with other d-series motors.
thanks- sean

Re: Eg swap? (IA95civicDX)
a d16z6 or d16y8 would be the best d series motor. the z6 comes out of 92-95 ex or si. the y8 comes out of a 96-00 ex. your tranny will bolt up to any 92-00 d series block but if u get a vtec engine, i wouldnt use your tranny cuz u wont stay in vtec cuz the gears are longer

The most direct swap for your car is a D16Z6 which you can get for around $250-$500. Your tranny will bolt up but you don't want to do that cause your tranny is jack ****.
