EG WITH LS SWAP NEED HELP possible bad distributor????
Ok i owned a 93 eg hatch with a jdm LS motor for 3 weeks it was obd2 but i turned it into obd1 ok heres the problem i got dusted by a 91 civic with a SOHC vtec motor is this normal he just has intake header and exhaust i have intake and exhaust. It was a roll race and i shifted pretty quick but i think he power shifted. My distributor makes a ticking noise as its rotating could this be a loss of power from bad distributor or can it be something else. Not tryng to sound ricey on this race but i kinda was worried how i got dusted by this singel v with a LS in my hatch. Every one in milwaukee i know told me i should have left him by a car and a half.

Really should try to compair what may or maynot be wrong with your car due to a race you win or loose. If you did walk the SOHC becuase he was a poor driver -would you all of a sudden forget about you might have a problem with you car?
If you are having a ticking noise from your dist, then check it out. Remove the cap, your rotor button may be loose, you could have a screw bouncing around in there. Take a look and see what might be a problem before racing the car and waiting for it to break to fix it.
