Default help with distributor!!

So i have kind of a weird issue. I have an ls/vtec swap in my teg. Recently my car would sputter when I initially hit the throttle. The next day my wife drove the car and she called me to tell me that the car wouldn't rev past 3,500 rpm's. I test drove the car when she got home and and heard a weird knocking noise. I realized that it was my distributor. The inside off the distributor was all f*cked up. So I went to replace it with another ls dizzy. The car didnt want to start...... to get to the point I went bout ght what I thought was a b16 dizzy and it ended up being for a d16. But after trying numerous distributors the only one that will run my car is the one from the single.....Any suggestions?

So the first dizzy you bought didnt want to run? I had that problem before and it turned out to be a bad new one... I am pretty sure that all of the obd1 dizzies internals are swappable if I remember correctly... I may be wrong though...

How is it running with the single slam one? If it runs great then I wouldnt worry about it. We are talking about a 95 db7 aren't we?

I would check the timing and make sure it hasn't jumped or anything.

Seeing as how the d16 distributor isn't made to run a b series ls/v why don't you try out a gsr distributor? IIRC all obd1 b series dizzy's are the same, but it couldn't hurt to try one more made for the motor.
just my 0.02
