Default LS/VTEC

i have a 96ls with a 99si head. the shop that did the swap for me left the ls distributor on the car, can i use this distributor or not? i'm running rich and i checked the timing its perfect and i swaped the ecu out with another one same thing!!! i'm getting like a poping out the exhaust. someone told me u can not use the ls distributor for some reason , if anyone has any info i would love to here

get an si distributor it should correct your problems...are you getting any hesitation when you hear this poping moise?

can u tell me what makes the distributor cause this problem. the answer too the question is no but i feel that i'm chocking a little bit. car runs strong though

i'm using an ls distributor on my ls/vtec, only one bolt holds it in place.. no problems..

that little poping noise sounds like your sensor inside the
distributor is bad so change distributor but
the only thing you have to worry is about the plug if its obd1 or two
otherwise the base will not line up with the head
but it will work..

do it for yourself. not so hard to do it. follow the instruction, and u will bef ine.

y do they only call it an LS/V-tech head swap b/c the RS has the same engine so cant u do it to an RS too?

Most people with B18B's have an LS I guess. Yes, you can do it on either GS/LS/RS.
