i just bought my eg hatch and when im going on the freeway or whenever im on the free way it starts to smell like something is burning. No cars wants to be behind me when im on the free way. It only starts to stink when im on fourth and fifth gear. Also my gas would be normal and as soon as i step on the gas pedal my gasoline meter will go way down. Please Help me!

Do you use ethanol gas? ( not recommended too)

It smells like burning oil but i had my brother drive it to see if i can see any smoke but no there aren't any kind of smoke coming out, and no its not running on ethanol!

Try costing down a hill in second doing about 50km then give it about half throttle, if it's burning oil u will most likely see it after this test, have you checked to see if it leaks oil? Could leak on to your exhaust.

There is no oil leak when i checked the oil there were some coolant mixed in there though. Not a lot but a little. The guy i bought it from said he had every fluid changed by jiffy lube?

If the car was at a Jiffy Lube it's garbage now. lol Yes, sounds like a bad head gasket.
