I think you should sell your car and give the money to the first group of nuns or first church you see. Great tax write off

there are things u want to consider turbo u can buy bolt on have it tuned and run n/a is allot more work...also turbo will give u more hp to money ratio u will find urself spending allot more money to make ur car fast n/a....turbo takes a little to spool thus turbo lag/ N/a has no lag....n/a down the road will give u nice beefy sound and turbo spool and lets of exess pressure(bov)...it all depends what u want to do but all in all turbo is cheaper to get more hp with less than 1000 u can make a nice homemade kit...n/a 1000 for i/h/e will get u barely 20 hp...it all depends what u personaly want if i where u id go turbo tho

An LS clutch? No way...get a real clutch. I like clutchmasters stage 3 for a stock engine turbo setup as a personal preference. Some will say ATC and other companies and they all work fine. I just like CM.

alright dude dont start ******* flameing........its just what i think is the nicest way to go....for a stock b16 i would go for the b16 tranny with the shorter gears, but if you have a turbo b16 you have the power to be able to handle the longer gears of the ls and it should give you a bit of advantage

shorter gears doesnt matter if you have a b16, your redline is quite a bit higher and you'll be going the same speed at redline as you will with a LS. i know because i've had a 95 LS integra, a 91 GS integra, a 90 GS integra, and a b16 hatch.

You dont know wtf you are talking about

LS tranny being more suited for boost as opposed to a shorter geared tranny is a BIG myth, shorter gearing=quicker acceleration, period.

LS tranny's taller gears would be better suited for top speed runs, and we are talking ~140+mph up until then the shorter geared tranny would own the ls. But then you could always run an si or gsr tranny with an ls fifth or play with tire sizes and try different final drives if you want that 'mad top speed y0'

For drag racing in our hondas it is best to cross the traps in 4th gear where the peak of our powerband is. Depending on tire size, ls trannys just wind out 3rd gear by the time the car would cross the traps. And I don't know of any hondas that make more power in the lower rpm band as opposed to higher up in the rpm's so having the rpm's drop lower in between shifts would be more detrimental then advantageous.

The closer gearing is also better for turbo applications because boost is load dependent and if you are in a higher gear and the rpms drop to around 5500 or below when you shift you have a higher chance of inducing a little turbo lag, and we all know we don't want that.

And if you bring up as traction being an issue with the shorter gears, for example, ls and gsr trannys have the same 1st and 2nd however, the gsr has a shorter final drive 4.4 vs. 4.266 so again that puts the gsr up top.

I'd say go boost, just dont turn the **** too much and blow your motor up. On the other hand...

Homeboy is right. I always fancied the b16 tranny myself, shorter gears, but I dont know, depends on your preferences

i'm a NA fan...but with a b16...i say go turbo. it takes alot of mods for a NA b16 to produce as much power as turbo does.

im going to buck the trend and say stay n/a. People here underestimate the cost of a PROPER turbo project. Sure you could probably slap something together for a grand but how long is it going to last? The b16a IMHO is one of the worlds best 1600 n/a engines (besides b16b). I cry every time i see one destroyed with a turbo. If you want a boosted car go buy a car thats turbo out of the factory.

I own both an eg6 civic and a gts25t skyline. Very different cars but i still love both of them to bits. The turbo is alot quicker but I still find the n/a more fun :-)

Not flaming AT ALL, but why do you find the N/A one more fun? I really am just curious, i've never had the chance to ride in a skyline (lucky you, lol).
