Re: Supercharger or Turbo Poll (ZC_CRX)
theres plenty of these polls aallready there is no need for another one. This board is always gonna be biased towards turbo and hostboard is gonna be biased to SC kits.
It just a known fact....

Re: Supercharger or Turbo Poll (ZC_CRX)
It also depends on your car... Why waste your money on an import when you can get 8 more psi, compared to a supercharger... If you have all the right parts a turbo will always be better in an import, even if there is turbo lag... However if you are going domestic, then look at superchargers, don't quote me on this, but most mustangs and camero's and such have higher compression ratios, making it harder to blow all that air in there, but also with the huge engines you can't really find too much space for a turbo housing and piping... So it's all in the consumers eyes really, does that help???

ok
WHO VOTED FOR THE *** CHARGER!
turbo all the way.
ive got a friend with a 4dr 96 civic thats SCd its best time was a 14.9
for 3500$ he could have gotten a GSR that would have about the same et.

not all of us are looking to break into the 12's on a daily basis. Try that **** around here and you'll end up with NO suspension at the end of the day.

Re: Supercharger or Turbo Poll (KAMiN)
Itis the car, not the charger that blows in your friends case. Anybody asks me which one and the first thing I ask is what kind of car? The JRSC kits on the SOHC cars pretty much suck *** because of the small assed blower they use. (I always suggest the Greddy kits on the SOHC as I have seen some damn good results with these) I only recommend whole heartedly the JRSC on DOHC B16 B18 Vtecs as they are the ones that really respond quite nicely for "Not so much" money or damage. I would take a light car (CRX/Hatch) with a B18C1 and a 10psi charger any day rather then a tuners nightmare turbo. (all turbo cars are not a nightmare to tune but you will, on average, put more into making it run right and last long. Then the whole "HOW FAST" issue comes in to play so once again, it is all preference and situation I spose By the way, my car is pretty damn fast and the last thing it is, is a light car Hopefully mid 12's should be here on saturday:D and the question everybody keeps asking is "How did you do it on this stock motor for so long?" I just say, "DOE NO"

Re: Supercharger or Turbo Poll (ian)
Ok, I spose I have to agree with this one. But I can also say that I would have had to rebuild my motor long ago with no limits

Re: Supercharger or Turbo Poll (Mr Rogers)
At the same time its nice knowing that you have options, with the Jackson Supercharger, 7psi is it. The supercharger does have the benefeit of power from teh start, and thats good for 1/4 mile runs. But then again, once the Turbo spools up, its no contest.
