i have a d16y8 in a 93 hatch alot of ppl tell me to get teh p2p ecu for the mini me swap instead of the p28 what would be better for it and what is the difference between the two computers

I would get a chipped obd1 ECU (p28 or p06 will do) and load stock p2p maps on it.
p2p is an obd2 ECU, which means you'll have to use a conversion harness to go from your obd1 harness to the ECU (will run you ~$75 new).
Either way, you'll have to buy or make another subharness to wire up the VTEC solenoid.

Unless you live in California don't bother with the P2P - it would require a jumper harness as stated above, but then you'd also need to wire up extra sensors for the OBD2 bullshit that the P2P looks for like secondary 02, evap, crank flux sensor, etc.
Just get a stock P28 ECU and it will plug into your car's chassis harness under the dash, and it will be less likely to throw check engine codes because it looks for less sensors/inputs because it's OBD1.
