ecu cope, weird!

Default ecu cope, weird!

so i was originally going to time my car but then i jumped the service plug and the check engine stays on. no turn off and on, codes or anything, just stays on. what is this "code" anybody know? thanks

You didn't have a code or it was an intermittant failure..

remove the jumper and the check engine light will go away. if not, then reset the battery or ecu

so i have no codes, cool. i was checking because my gas mileage is retarded. any ideas why? no codes or anything.

Could be anything in the fuel system. Maybe a small leak or something, or it could need a tune-up, check the fluids think simple first.

i just did plugs accel wires oil radiator belts the whole shhhhhbang, what gives? im gonna try that lucas fuel treatment. other than that i am assuming the timing is off because my exhaust smells a lot like unburnt gas. or running rich i better say.

i added that lucas additive ****, didnt work, too scared to use seafoam. today i was on top of full, drove 10 miles on hwy and it wasted 1/4 of a tank, i am starting to suspect a leak, does anybody know where it is common for these cars to leak gas? thanks
