engine check light and gas problem

Default engine check light and gas problem

i have a 92 civic hatchback dx. my engine check light won't turn off. i disconnected the battery to reset my ecu and i disconnected the ecu and still didn't work. i need help on that and another thing is my hatch runs rich. all i have is intake. i can see my gas needle just droppin. i need help fixin that. thanks

Your probably have trouble with a oxygen sensor , check the one that goes on the intake, and the one on the header, those are the ones that go the fastest

Have you tried pulling the code to see what is going on?

Somewhere around your ecu behind the passenger side kick panel is a two prong connector that isn't attached to anything. Should be a blue connector if i remember right. Anyways, you have to use a piece of wire or something to jump the two prongs in the connector together. Turn your ignition to on and then your cel will start to flash a code. for example; If it flashes like this

Flash...flash pause flash...flash...flash That would be code 23
2 flashes pause 3flashes

Is the plug really not attached to anything? Ive searched high and low for a pic of it on my ej8 and no luck.

when i went to go check the engine code thing. i realized i had a vtec ecu, so traded one of my buddies for his non vtec ecu and now my engine lite turned off. thanks for all ur guys help
