ECU
i have a 99 em1 with a b16a obd2 motor.
i bought a obd1 p28 with hondata s100 and obd 2 to obd1 conversion harness..
gave it to the shop to have a new chip putted in it and burn the chip to stock obd 1 b16a.
came home hooked it up.
i now have a check engine light. it idles good, but will not let me go past 4k rpms.
any ideas?

Re: ECU (NOman0608)
the ECU is Most Likely OK it's a BAD Chipping Most likely. if they Screwed up when thay chiped it then it won't go past 4K RPM. take off the top and cut the J1 Jumper Wire and see if it runs. if it does then it's fine and the Chip is Bad.

Re: ECU (Solster)
i cutted the J1 jumper.. the check engine is off and the car runs fine.
i notice the redline is like around 7600-7800.
i am running the GSR p28, could that be the reason?
also, what chip would you guys prefer to chip the p28 with the b16a motor.?
