99 ek from obd2-obd1 problems..?

Icon6 99 ek from obd2-obd1 problems..?

Ok i switch my coupe down to obd1 because i plan on boosting it but when i hooked up the ecu with the harness and i got the honda chipping kit its throwing a code 17 (vehicle speed senor) and a code 41( oxygen sensor heater) but my tach and all my gauges are working fine..can some please help me out

no codes when you had the obd1 ecu in?
some obd1 ecus dont read a 2nd o2 sensor.
and it could be the chip you have in the ecu. take out the chip and then check codes.

No its a completly stock car i just took the stock obd2 ecu out and plugged the obd1 ecu in with the correct harness but i took the chip out like you said and i still get the same codes..

What ECU? What chip are you using (hondata, crome, uber??)

it could be that ecu. try a dif obd1 ecu. did you unplug any sensors or anything? try pushing them together making sure they are still connected....
plus your obd1-2 adapter could be wak too....some wires in wrong places...it happnes

its a p28 and the chip isent programmed yet but i was gonna run chrome on it

Yeah i dont have another obd1 ecu on me at the moment i might have to go get another one but yes i unplugged both the sensors and check them to make sure they looked in good working order and plugged them back...

where did you get your adapter from? if another ecu does the same thing i would point at the adapter and blame it.

ummm....yeah i got one off of ebay its the red block one from xactdyno is what is says on the connetor

Alright will do im gonna go snag me up another ecu or 2 haha but no one i know of has a honda with the adapter, I might have to order another one just a diffrent kind..?

yeah thats what i paid for mine was 40 might have to do that and get back to this maybe it will turn that light off i hope thanks for the help ill keep all informed on my build
