dx and ex head difference question
i have a 93 dx motor and an ex v-tec head. i want to return the car to stock so i replaced the ecu back to dx already. is the difference between the dx and ex head solely the v-tec silenoid hole? or is there more to it. my point is do i need to change out the whole head or just the distributor and ecu? the smog place is giving me a hard time. I need it to pass with flying colors. thanks for the help.

Whole head's g2 be changed...
I suppose you can run your VTEC cams in the EX head as regulars....and you'll suffer top end dearly for it.
I don't know much about the B8, but I'm not even sure if it's the same # of valves.
Technically you don't have to? Would 90% of pple on this forum? Yes.

Don't do that, a P06 is worth less than a P28.
If you want my opinion (which you probably don't) pay 60 bux and have ur P28 chipped. Then you can run whatever the hell ECU you want it to be in terms of OBD-I.
Chip the P28 and run a P06 .bin file (base fuel and ignition tables).
It'll act just like a P06.
And Crome is free, so you can do it yourself!
