Dropping my 97 Civic EX on Konig Heliums
I am putting 15X6.5 4-100 40BR Konig Heliums on my 97' Civic EX Coupe wrapped in P205/50R-15 84V Nitto NT 450s. Now what kinda drop will I have to give my car just to give it a sporty function and look? I want a minimal drop. With all drops are camber alignment kits a must? Sorry I absolutely know jack **** about suspension ...
Thanks
Thanks

I would go for H&R Sport springs if i was you. Drop is OK and handling is alright. Camber kit isn't needed for that kind of drop (from 1.6 to 1.8 inches.)

Re: (STN_Pat)
Alright thanks bro. I would go for a lower drop for the handling but the streets in New Orleans are too awful to go for that... Thanks

what do you mean a sporty look? no wheel gap? a little wheel gap? i run 15" c8's on 205/50-15s with a 2.5" drop in front and a 2.25" drop in rear. the front is about a 1/2 finger gap with the rear at about a 1-1.5 finger gap. looks "sporty" to me, but maybe your definition is different.

By saying sporty I mean not riding up high like stock... I want some wheel gap too just like I said I dont want to have the thing slammed to the floor...

good choice on the heliums, i always though they looked sweet anyways, i'd go for some coilovers either ground control or skunk2, that way you can adjust your ride height as much as you want. a little lower than stock height... no problem, slammed for the weekend... no problem also, either way you go, coilovers or springs i would also suggest an addition of shocks. with a major suspension modification like a drop, depending on how much, a trip to the alignment shop is key. every car is different but your steering may be thrown off or your camber which will eat your tires quick. good luck with everything

I guess it would be better to go for Shocks and coilovers because in the long run I would probably go that road anyway
What kinda suspension set up would you suggest? I mean I'm not rich but I got enough to do whatever it takes

for what your looking for i'd say either ground controls or skunk2 coilovers and either tokico blues, tokico illuminas, or kyb's for shocks

Re: (pdiggitydogg)
Is it relatively easy to install new shocks /w coilovers... I mean I will get together with my friends to do it probably but I was just wondering for a quick answer... As I said I am a Engine and Tranny knowledge guy not suspension. I have always had suspension done by someone else this is the first time I am going to tackle it

lol...
BTW dont Tokico Blues blow after a short amount of use... Or are Skunk 2 springs not as stiff as others... Because I know that Blues dont last nearly as long when you run stiff lowered springs...
I want something that will last me too
