door lock problem
Each time i put the switch up or down the doors wont lock unless i do it manually. I have a 97 civic lx 4 dr. And thats a real hassle to lock the doors. I brought it to honda and they said it was my aftermarket radio. So i took that out and put the stock radio back in and the locks still dont work right. What do i do?(i plugged everything back together) The wiring at the back is 1 black antenna plug and 2 other plugs one is white with lots of wires and a green one with a few. When i took out the aftermarket radio (i didnt install it) i saw that there was a harness and the green plug wasnt plug in. Anyone know what the green plug is?

Re: door lock problem (switching5)
i didnt know a radio had anything to do with door lock switches..
but if they did i wouldnt know.
however, i would say that your door lock mechanisms and/or wires may not be working properly. if thats the case just bring it to an audio shop and have them put new ones in for like 60 dollars.

Re: door lock problem (switching5)
In my 1996 EX the green connector was for the honda security system. That does affect the power locks and dome light if you remove the stock radio. The security system is a little grey box screwed to the top of the radio. I had the same problem and had to get a harness from crutchfield that allowed me to keep the factory radio connected and install a new radio.
