They lied to you.....you have to take out the tranny to change the clutch. If your remove the flywheel cover from under the tranny you can "see" the clutch, but theres no way in hell your gonna be able to pull it out through there.

yoy are WRONG!

you can pull the engine out and leave the tranny jk

But a clutch job isn't too difficult. Just know ahead of time what it is you're doing. Plan to have the flywheel resurfaced, get some loctite for the flywheel bolts and pressure plate bolts, need an accurate torque wrench, and some grease for the TO bearing. If you're good, it's a 2 hour job max

Yes, resurfacing a flywheel is a key step in changing the clutch out. It will enable the new clutch to seat into the friction surface of the flywheel.

Ohh yeah emerika your a punk...

me a punk? ...just because you don't HAVE to pull the tranny, you can pull the engine instead...lol.

yes. Pop the axles out of the tranny, support the engine under the oil pan with tires or a jack, and then proceed on dropping the transmission. It will slide off fairly easy. If it doesn't, then you missed a bolt somewhere...don;t try and pry it off if it's stuck. And DO NOT let the tranny sit there away from the case while still attatched to the clutch, as it may bend the shaft
