Default does the obd1 d16z6 have a knock sensor?

d16z6 swap to a gsr. getting a code 23. knock sensor malfunction

ok, thats why im getting a code 23 when the swap was done. does anyone know the pin on the gsr ecu that the knock sensor goes into. im going to try and wire one in today.

OBD1 knock sensor wire is Red/Blue in harness and goes into D3 on the ECU

thanks, but im going to have to wire a wire in there because we are using the d16z6 wiring harness that does not have that wire?

Doh! I was thinking you were using GSR harness, at least you know where to pin it

but how do you get it into the actual pin? the other ones are very hard to pull out (not that i have tried that hard but they are in there ggood!)

if you look at the back of the plug you will see that there is a keeper at the top and bottom of the plug that clips to the side plastic. doesnt take much force but these will pop and fold up on the plug, then you have access to the pins and can pull them out with relative ease.
