Default gas pedal prob...

sometimes my gas pedal gets stuck a little. i drive a boosted del sol and i got a apexi s-afc that i use also to monitor. the gas pedal sometime get stuck and instead of idling @ 850+rpm it idles at like 1400+rpm @ like 0.02% throttle. i can like use my foot to pull the gas pedal towards me and it'll settle where its suppose to.
please let me know what u think
thanks for looking

I think there might be a throttle cable recall on your car. I know there is a recall on the civics...Just a thought!

Besides being your thottle cable it could/maybe be your TB!

i can say that the car use to have a hood scoop and water mixed with debri dirty up the engine bay. i was told to clean the throttle cable/TB area which worked for like a few days.

try cleaning out the inside of the throttle body. Somtimes crap builds up in there preventing the butterfly valve from operating like it should.

hmm didnt say anything on the gas pedal in my Haynes manual on del sol's, i can only imagine that there is no tension on ur cable, id check the cable near the throttle body to see if you have slack in the line. But im just guessing..

cuz the problem might not be his tb... i had the same problem on my 99 si, where i had to pull the gas pedal out with my foot a little bit, but it went away before i could fix it

edit: and why are all civics on recall?
